DR FRED MATIANG’I RUNS AWAY AFTER RUTO WAS SWORN J IN
Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i deactivated his Twitter account shortly after William Ruto took the oath of office as the fifth president of Kenya at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
His official account, which had over 1.3 million followers went blank on Tuesday afternoon and could no longer be accessed on the social media platform.
Dr Matiang’i has been a vocal supporter of Azimio Chief Raila Odinga throughout the campaign season, which has always put him at loggerheads with the former Deputy President Ruto, the former’s main political rival.
The CS’s move elicited mixed reactions with Kenyans on Twitter (KoT) in their usual gist trolling Matinagi as some summoned him to bid them ‘farewell.’

Here are some of the hilarious reactions from KOT.
“Fred Matiangi has left the stage without telling us. We deserve to be told bye. @OleItumbi when you find him, please let him know that we shall gratefully remember everything about him. The education ministry, Internal Security and ag. Deputy President,” @TheKipFactor wrote.
Bidan Mwangi@MWASENG wrote: “@MigunaMigunaYour foe @FredMatiangihas run away from @KOTand deleted his Twitter account.”
