NEW TWIST EMERGE AS RAILA’S LAWYERS ADMIT VOTES WERE NOT INFLATED.

In his plea to the Supreme Court, Raila Odinga’s attorneys have alleged that the IEBC and President-elect William Ruto’s cunning led to the presidential election of August 9, 2022.

James Orengo and Julie Soweto, who were the first to present their arguments before the supreme court on Wednesday, claimed the two respondents planned a vote-rigging plot to guarantee Ruto would win the election.

Celestine Anyango Opiyo and Arnold Ochieng Oginga’s affidavits were cited by Orengo and Soweto as proof that some polling places lowered Odinga’s votes and added them to Ruto’s.

They claimed that this method was widespread in the counties that were thought to be Ruto’s strongholds, particularly in Bomet and Kiambu.

The method was so intricate and well-planned, according to Orengo, that the actual number of votes cast in the affected districts was kept low to allay suspicions.

This, according to Orengo, was evident in the results reported on forms 34A at the voting places, which were different from those on forms 34B.

Results for the presidency are recorded at the polling place level using Form 34A. The forms 34A are compiled into Form 34B, which is then submitted to the constituency tallying centre for recording.
