HUGE BLOW TO AZIMIO AS TOP POLITICIAN IS REVOKED BY IEBC

Today, team Azimio La Umoja lead by Raila Odinga is reported to have suffered a huge blow. This came in after the IEBC revoked the clearance of one of their ODM candidates in Nyanza region.

As reported by the Citizen TV news, the IEBC has revoked the clearance of hon Oscar Obote who is vying for the MCA seat in Homa Bay county.

According to citizen tv, the IEBC revoked the clearance of this ODM candidate after the ODM party failed to adhere to the order by the registrar of political parties who had directed the ODM party to conduct fresh nominations.

The office of the registrar of political parties had issued this directive after two ODM candidates complained over the nomination of hon Oscar Obote.

“IEBC made the decision after ODM allegedly failed to adhere to a directive from the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal (PPDT) which ordered the party to conduct a fresh nomination exercise through universal suffrage.Abote was cleared by the IEBC to carry ODM’s flag in South Kabuoch early this month after obtaining a direct party ticket contrary to the order by PPDT.” Said the citizen tv.
