William Ruto has managed to make Boni Khalwale tone down his political ambitions.

That’s what happens when politicians enter into coalitions. The newcomer is given preference.

When Ruto was chased out of government, it’s Boni Khalwale, Hassan Omar and Johnstone Muthama who made sure he did not succumb to depression and hopelessness.

They created an outfit called UDA which acted as a refuge for the deputy president.

It was agreed that the former senators would vie for governor in their respective counties.

Boni Khalwale has now become the first casualty of handshake.

A meeting was held in Karen which was attended by Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula. The meeting was chaired by William Ruto.

In the meeting, Khalwale was made to step down for newcomer Cleophas Malala.

Now Khalwale will be vying for senate instead of Governor.

Who’s next on the chopping board?
