In the past 10 years, Junet Mohammed’s political star has grown astronomically. The politician has risen to the position of minority leader in parliament. He has also become a close confidant of Raila Odinga.

It is rare to see Raila Odinga in any major function without Junet Mohammed in tow. Their close relationship has made Junet always win with a huge majority. This is despite being a Somali vying in a predominantly Luo constituency.

The close relationship between the two has made Junet always defend Raila Odinga. It does not matter if you are his brother when it comes to defending Raila Odinga. That is why Junet was so angry with flamboyant city lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi.
